Forklift Training Courses

1. Novice Operator Course – 5 Day.
This course is designed for the person with little or no experience of forklift truck operation. The candidate receives tuition is safe operating techniques, which includes closely supervised practice in simulated but realistic working areas. The theory of lift truck operation is amply covered by lectures and training films. At the end of the course the trainee will take both a written and a practical test and successful operators will be issued with a Certificate of Basic Training endorsed by the Road Transport Industrial Training Board Services (RTITB’s).

2. Experienced Operator Course – 3 Day.
Designed specifically for the experienced operator who has not had the benefit of formal training or when corrective tuition is required. The course develops and improves the operator’s skills and knowledge of safe working practices and relevant legalisation. On successful completion of both a written and a practical test the operator will be issued with a Certificate of Basic Training.

3. Pedestrian Operated Powered Pallet/Powered Stacker – 1 Day.

4. Conversion Courses = from Reach/Counterbalanced trucks or vice versa - 1 Day
Designed specifically for the certified operator of one type of forklift truck to enable them to operate a further type of forklift truck i.e. Counterbalance to reach truck or vice versa

5. Re-certification Course – 1 Day
It is a Strong recommendation of the health & safety executives Approved Code of Practice (ACOPS) that certified operators periodically attend a course of refresher training every 3 years. The course offers an update of legalisation and new operating standards, remedial training and a final theoretical and practical test.
